Power Line Technicians construct, maintain and repair electrical power transmission and distribution systems. They:
The Pre-Placement Program is 7–8 months in duration. At the successful completion of the program, Pre-Placement trainees will compete for a position in the Power Line Training Program at a Skills Assessment and Trade Opportunity (SATO). There is no guarantee of ongoing employment at the completion of the Pre-Placement Program.
High school graduate with at least one of the following: Mathematics 40S (Applied or Pre-Calculus), Physics 30S or English 40.
Selected candidates will be provided educational assistance to upgrade to the minimum academic requirements for the Power Line Technician Training Program.
