Registered Electrical Contractor Program
The Registered Electrical Contractor Program (RECP), implemented in 2003, is designed to streamline the residential inspection process by the introduction of selective inspections. It enables registered electrical contractors to complete their residential installations with minimal delays while recognizing consistent quality workmanship. Benefits also include:
- reduced fees for residential electrical permits and associated services;
- reduced registration fees for Manitoba Hydro sponsored seminars;
- reduced inspections for individual installations.

How to Apply
An annual registration fee of $150 will apply. Return copies of the items listed below, along with your registration fee and completed application form to a commercial electrical inspector in your area.
- Journeyman Electrician's License;
- Proof of Insurance;
- Manitoba Hydro permit account number.
