Rebates
Calculate your rebate*:
- attic: square feet to be insulated x added R-value x $.02
- wall cavities: square feet to be insulated x added R-value x $.04
- walls, when re-siding: square feet to be insulated x added R-value x $.10
- foundation walls: square feet to be insulated x added R-value x $.03
Example: To determine a rebate for 1000 square feet of attic insulation increased by R-20, you would calculate 1000 x 20 x $.02 = $400.
*Rebates are conditional.
You can receive your rebate as either a cheque or as a credit on your energy account. If you have any outstanding balances or loans with Manitoba Hydro, your rebate will be applied as a credit to the balance on your loan or energy account.
If a Power Smart Residential Loan has been used to finance the insulation project the rebate will be applied to the loan.
Rebate amounts cannot exceed the material cost of the insulation measure(s) installed.
Manitoba Hydro may conduct a post-installation inspection before paying out the rebate.
