Manitoba Hydro receives multiple Top Employer awards for 2025

Manitoba Hydro is proud to be one of Manitoba’s Top Employers for 2025. The utility is also recognized this year as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People and Canada’s Best Diversity Employers. The award recipients are selected by Mediacorp Canada Inc., the editors of ‘Canada’s Top 100 Employers’.

“Our employees are the heart of our organization, and the driving force that ensures Manitobans have safe, reliable power,” said Jamie Hanly, Manitoba Hydro’s Vice-President of People, Safety, Health & Environment. “We’re proud to be recognized for our efforts to create an environment where all employees thrive.”

Here are a few reasons Manitoba Hydro was selected to win each award:

  1. Manitoba’s Top Employers (2025): Reasons for selection include progressive time-off policies to support employee work-life balance, wellness programs like a wellness subsidy and mental health counseling, and company support for employee’s charitable efforts.
  2. Canada’s Top Employers for Young People (2025): Manitoba Hydro was chosen for its robust professional development programs for recent graduates, pre-placement programs in trades, and for its engineer-in-training program.
  3. Canada’s Best Diversity Employers (2025): Manitoba Hydro was recognized for its inclusive workplace culture, diversity initiatives, and internal equity hubs, showcasing its commitment to creating a welcoming and equitable environment for all employees.

Mediacorp Canada Inc. determines the competition winners by comparing organizations in similar industries and similar size on a variety of selection criteria.
