Worker suffers fatal injury near Gillam
An employee of a contractor working for Manitoba Hydro near the northern community of Gillam suffered a fatal injury early Wednesday.

Public Utilities Board grants Manitoba Hydro 3.36% interim rate increase
The Manitoba Public Utilities Board (PUB) awarded Manitoba Hydro a 3.36 per cent interim rate increase, effective August 1. As part of the utility’s General Rate Application filed with the PUB in May of this year, Manitoba Hydro had requested an interim rate increase of 7.9 per cent in August 2017 and a further 7.9 per cent in April 2018.
Manitoba Hydro releases 2016-17 Annual Report
Manitoba Hydro released its annual report today showing a total consolidated net income of $71 million for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2017, up from $49 million in 2015-16.
Possibility of high water levels on Burntwood River
Manitoba Hydro is issuing a warning to residents and businesses along the Burntwood River near Thompson of the possibility of high water levels and high flows along the river.
