Mission
Help all Manitobans efficiently navigate the evolving energy landscape, leveraging their energy advantage while ensuring safe, reliable energy at the lowest possible cost.
Where we work
Manitoba Hydro has a presence right across Manitoba, on Treaty 1, Treaty 2, Treaty 3, Treaty 4 and Treaty 5 lands – the original territories of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples – and the homeland of the Métis Nation. We acknowledge these lands and pay our respects to the ancestors of these territories.
How we do business
The nature of our business and location of our operations impacts people, communities and the environment every day. Respect and care for each is our responsibility now and into the future.
We operate based on our foundational principles of safety, environmental stewardship, respectful engagement with interested parties and communities and respect for each other. Safety remains our top priority in everything we do.
We conduct our activities in a lawful, responsible and ethical manner, so that our reputation for honesty, integrity and the faithful performance of our obligations is maintained and enhanced.
Creating value for our customers is also about building trust that we are operating in their best interest and are accountable and responsive to their needs. We report on our operations, finances and social responsibilities.
